Revolutionizing the beauty industry for 20 years, Urban Decay is proud to announce the launch TWO new freestanding stores in IOI City Mall, Putrajaya and Aeon Tebrau City Shopping Centre, Johor Bahru! The ultimate manifestation of their beauty with an edge mantra (and equal parts feminine, dangerous and fun), the new boutiques are like no other store you've ever seen. From the moment you step inside, you'll feel like you've died and gone to a luxurious UD wonderland.
As the Urban Decay co-founder and Creative Director Wende Zomnir always say that makeup is about self-expression, their new stores take that theme to a whole other level. The predominance of purple helps differentiate the store from all the boring, black-and-white brands. Step into the store and you'll see the lavish investment in their merchandising, using upscale materials like chrome, stainless steel, custom purple laminate and beveled glass. Be amazed by the sparkling wall to sconces adorned with nickel chains. Many items you see in stores are custom-designed, including the makeup stations and acrylic chairs. The UD team love incorporating pieces that look like they could be from someone's home, which helps keep the space warm and inviting. People often ask them if they can buy the chairs!
While the UD space needs to make a statement, the product is always the focal point. Being big on experimentation and self-expression, their drawer system keeps the product readily accessible and gives customers the chance to play. Throughout their merchandising, the four core messages are consistently reinforced: Beauty With an Edge, The Naked Effect, Get UD Ultra Definition Skin and Make Your Makeup Last All Day.
At the opening of both stores, makeup artist, FerraRossa was present to share her favorite makeup tips and tricks in achieving perfectly glammed up look. The sessions were very insightful to the guests who were present, and most of them being her followers, they enjoyed watching her work her magic on a model's face in real life!
Fans of Urban Decay were seen queuing up even before the store opened, in hopes of getting a free Vice Lipstick (for the first 50 customers) and being one of the first to step into the spanking new stores.
The new spaces are more than just a store; it's the ultimate beauty hangout.
